(i) Device ID: Identifiers that relate to an individual device, browser or app. For example, an IMEI number, MAC address, Widevine Device ID, Firebase installation ID, or advertising identifier.

(ii) Nickname: A nickname is a user-selected identifier that is collected as data to represent an individual.

Please note that the App does not collect any other personal information (such as names, email addresses, user’s ID, address, phone number, race & ethnicity, political or religious beliefs, sexual orientation) location data, financial information, health and fitness information, messages, photos & videos, files & documents, calendar and contacts.

The application may record the voice of the users but this is only processed locally on the user’s device and not sent to the application’s server, therefore does not qualify as data collection.

b. Purpose and Utilization of Data

The device information collected is used for the following purposes:

(i) Device ID: The device ID is collected solely for the purpose of monitoring and associating the device who has already availed the trial feature of this app, such that we can implement the relevant rules regarding 3 days trial period.

(ii) Nickname: In the context of app functionality, a nickname is a user-selected identifier that is collected as data to represent an individual on world ranking boards. It allows users to be recognized for their achievements within the app while maintaining their privacy. This identifier is typically unique to each user and is used to display standings in competitive features like world rankings or leaderboards.

2. Data Storage and Security

a. Data Storage

The device information collected is securely stored in the following manner:

(i) Device ID: The device ID collected for the trial feature is securely stored in Firebase, a secure cloud-based storage service. The data is protected through appropriate safeguards to ensure its confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

(ii) Nickname: The nickname collected is securely stored in Firebase, a secure cloud-based storage service. The data is protected through appropriate safeguards to ensure its confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

b. Data Security Measures

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard the device information collected. These measures include:

  • (i) Encryption: We use encryption techniques to protect the transmission and storage of device information.
  • (ii) Access Controls: Access to device information is restricted to authorized personnel who have a legitimate need to access such information.
  • (iii) Data Minimization: We only collect and store device information that is necessary for the specified purposes outlined in this Policy.

Please note that while we take reasonable steps to protect device information, no method of transmission or storage can be 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your device information.

The App does not integrate with any third-party services or APIs that collect user device information. Therefore, no third-party services' privacy policies are applicable in this context.

4. User Rights and Consent

a. User Rights

As a User, you have certain rights regarding your personal information. These rights may include the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data. However, since the App does not collect personal information other than the Device ID during the trial period, the options for data management are limited to discontinuing the trial feature.

By using the App and opting for the trial feature, you provide your explicit consent to the collection and storage of the Device ID and Voice Recording for the specified purposes outlined in this Policy.

5. App Store Requirements

Smart Math Kids complies with the guidelines and requirements set forth by the Play Store and App Store regarding Privacy Policies and Terms and Conditions, ensuring adherence to their respective platform regulations.
